NEW MILFORD - Brian Durand shocked the world of pick-up football when he announced that the SNMFC would be adding a game to their 2006 schedule, to be played sometime late this summer. The reason: He and his wife Tricia are expecting. A baby.
"In an effort to expand the SNMFC, I am proposing a new game," announced Durand during a post-game press conference in the parking lot of Hill and Plain stadium. "The first ever Baptism Bowl".
The father-to-be was congratulated by his concernmates, showered with conception euphemisms and toasted with Pepsi and Premium Bud Light.
Baptism Bowl I would be the first game of the 2006 schedule, preceeding Jiblet Jam X on Thanksgiving Day and Kwanza Khaos V, sometime around Christmas.
Durand Child I: Untitled will be the first child for the Durands. Should the child be a male, he is expected to debut in Jiblet Jam XXIII: So Very Tired around 2018.
